Frequently Asked Questions

What is JW Athletes all about?

At JW Athletes, we’re more than fitness. We’re about building strong minds & strong bodies. Through our W.O.R.K. mindset (Willingness, Ownership, Respect, & Knowledge) We help kids grow in strength, character, & confidence.

What does W.O.R.K. stand for?

W.O.R.K. means Willingness, Ownership, Respect, and Knowledge. It’s how we train and how we live. These values are at the heart of everything we teach, both on and off the mat.

What ages do you train at JW Athletes?

We work with kids, athletes, and adults! Whether your child is homeschooled, your teen’s an athlete, or you’re ready to reclaim your health, there’s a class for you at JW Athletes.

What’s special about the kids’ program?

Our kids’ program teaches core strength, balance, and coordination in small, focused classes. But more than that,  we help kids understand effort, discipline, and the power of showing up.

What are class sizes like?

We keep our classes small. no more than 10 kids or 6 adults, so every student gets personal attention, encouragement, and space to grow.

Do you teach nutrition?

Yes! Nutrition is a big part of our training. Kids learn how to fuel their bodies, read labels, and make smart food choices, all in a fun, hands-on way.

What are the class times?

We’ve got flexible class times for every schedule: early mornings for adults, mid-day for homeschoolers, and after-school sessions for athletes. Four days a week, Monday through Thursday.

What kind of training do you use?

We focus on resistance band training; it’s safe, effective, and great for developing real strength, balance, and coordination at any age.

How do you help kids stay motivated?

At JW Athletes, we make fitness fun and empowering. Our coaches lead with energy and encouragement, helping kids stay engaged and excited to show up, give effort, and grow stronger each week.

Why is praise and encouragement important?

Kids thrive on encouragement. We use specific, meaningful praise to help them build confidence, stay motivated, and develop a lifelong love for movement.

What makes JW Athletes different from a regular gym or sports program?

We’re not just about reps and routines — we’re about mindset and mentorship. At JW Athletes, kids are trained, encouraged, and equipped with values that go beyond the gym. We focus on character, effort, and building a foundation that lasts.

Is JW Athletes a good fit for homeschool families?

Absolutely. Our mid-morning class schedule is designed with homeschool families in mind. Kids get structured physical education, personalized coaching, and an uplifting environment that reinforces discipline and confidence.
